Search & Filtering
Find assets using text search, color search, and filters.
Once you've generated a few hundred assets, "scroll until you find it" stops working. Hylope gives you several ways to find what you're looking for — by what you typed, by how it looks, or by example.
Text search
Full-text search across every prompt and asset's metadata, powered by PostgreSQL full-text search:
- Search by prompt keywords
- Search by model or provider name
Color search
Find assets by their dominant colors:
Open color search
Click the color search icon in the Gallery.
Pick a color
Choose a color with the color picker.
Review results
Results are sorted by color similarity.
Color search uses perceptual matching, so it works across similar hues and tones — not just exact color values.
Find Similar
Search by example instead of by text. Right-click any image or video — in Gallery, the Lightbox, or Nodes — and choose Find Similar to surface assets that look or feel alike.
Tip
Find Similar matches on both visual content and prompt meaning, across your entire history. It's the fastest way to pull together a mood board or track down a variation you can't describe in words.
Filters
Narrow your gallery by:
- Mode — images, videos, music, etc.
- Project or shot
- Favorites — starred assets only
- Date range
Sorting
- Date — most recent first (default)
- Relevance — when using text search
Tips
- Combine text search with filters for precise results
- The Gallery app gives you the full-screen search experience — other apps offer a lighter version of the same search
